NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Obligates More than $3.2 Billion in Contracts for FY-26
The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk Contracting Department recently wrapped up a record-setting fiscal year 2026, obligating $3.2 billion in contracts during that period.
According to Contracting Department Director Jordan Dorsey, the team obligated more in contracts than all of NAVSUP’s other fleet logistics centers combined.
Dorsey added that the team of nearly 300 contracting experts executed more than 10,000 contract actions in fiscal 2026.
“I couldn’t be prouder of the team,” Dorsey said. “They have proven once again why they are the best contracting office in the Navy, providing unbelievably important support to the warfighters and their families.”
Dorsey noted that the contracting department supported nearly 450 mission partners across the Department of the Navy throughout the fiscal year.
U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) served as the command's largest customer as measured by both contract actions and dollars obligated, totaling more than 2,500 actions valued at $669 million. Other principal customers included:
· Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV)
· Chief of Naval Operations (CNO)
· Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS)
· Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC)
In addition to recurring fleet requirements, the department delivered operational contracting support for major fleet events, including the International Naval Review 250 festivities. Personnel coordinated logistics and event contracts for visiting and participating vessels in Baltimore, New York, Albany and Boston. Supported ships included USS Arlington (LPD 24), USS Marinette (LCS 25), USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), USS Nimitz (CVN 68), USS Farragut (DDG 99) and USS Nitze (DDG 94).
There have been an incredible number of positive customer responses for the team this year,” Dorsey said. “In the past two months alone we have received formal recognition from leadership at USFF, Commander, 2nd Fleet and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (Financial Management and Comptroller).”
